Having built a cult status in recent years, the 2025 edition of Strade Bianche delivered another star-studded battle on the white roads of Tuscany.

As expected, Tadej Pogačar attacked from far out. Uncharacteristically though, he was tracked by 2023 Strade Bianche winner Tom Pidcock, who was giving the Slovenian a good run for his money. After a heavy tumble, Pogačar fought back with his rainbow jersey ripped, only to attack away from Pidcock within the final 20km of the race.

Riding solo into Siena for the third time in his career, the UAE Team Emirates XRG star became the first man to win Strade Bianche in the rainbow jersey. He might be the only one to win it in a blood-stained jersey too.

We sent photographer Xavier Pereyron to capture all the action from the men’s race. Related questions you can explore with Ask Cyclist, our new AI search engine.

The rainbow jersey leaves a young fan hanging on the way to the startline. The peloton is rarely this calm during Strade Bianche. Related Posts
