SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — The Sullivan’s Island Police Department will be hosting their annual bike drive soon.

From Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, the department will be accepting bike donations benefitting Toys for Tots. Their big delivery event will take place on Dec. 16, the department said.

The department is looking to receive new bikes that have coaster-style brakes as opposed to hand breaks on the handlebars. They said that style of bike is too time-consuming to to build.

The department is hoping to receive children’s bikes of all sizes as well assmaller beach cruisers. They said they would also appreciate new helmets.
