Lōgōs Components has introduced the latest evolution in its XC race wheel lineup: Gída SL XC. This new wheelset, weighing a highly-respectable 1240g, sets the stage for what might be the lightest, most capable XC wheels available today. All Photos: Lōgōs Why Gída? Named after the Greek word for “goat,” the Gída SL is a nod to climbing prowess and “Greatest Of All Time” status. The jury is still out on the latter, though these modernly wide, lightweight, and serviceable wheels excite us. The new iteration builds on the foundation of the original Gída wheelset, which was already highly regarded for its balance of strength and weight. The new SL version, however, takes it up a notch by shedding over 150 grams while delivering wider, thicker, and more compliant rims for aggressive XC and marathon racing. What’s New?

The Gída SL sees a redesign that includes increased rim width and thickness. The rim boasts a 30mm internal width, 35.9mm external width, and 20.7mm depth, with a 2.5mm asymmetry and a weight of 295g.
