Zwift has some exciting product news for those gearing up for their winter training sessions: the Zwift Ride Smart Frame is now available without a trainer. When it was first launched in June, the Ride Smart Frame was only available along with a Wahoo KICKR CORE trainer – great if you don’t already own a trainer, but not something that most riders wanted to buy if they already owned one.
Now, you can purchase your Ride Smart Frame separately for $799 and use it on your trainer of choice. Thanks to the new Zwift Ready Program, that means trainer choices aren’t just limited to Zwift or Wahoo trainers either. As an officially licensed program from Zwift, you’ll be able to easily identify smart trainers that are compatible with Smart Shifting. These trainers can be upgraded to support Zwift virtual shifting with any Zwift Controller including Click, Play, and Ride. These currently include: Zwift Hub – all versions including Hub One
Wahoo KICKR CORE – all versions
Wahoo KICKR V6 – all versions of v6
Wahoo KICKR MOVE – all versions*
