RockShox has released the Flight Attendant Upgrade Kit, enabling you to fit the brand’s top-spec suspension technology to your bike.
Previously, Flight Attendant, released in October 2021 , was only available on complete bikes because the technology requires knowledge of a bike’s kinematics. RockShox now has this information from a growing number of bikes and can therefore offer upgrade kits for specific models.
There are three versions of the upgrade kit available, suitable for all-mountain bikes, trail bikes and enduro bikes , according to RockShox.
RockShox says the Flight Attendant Upgrade Kit will be available on the Pike, Lyrik, and ZEB suspension forks, ranging from 140mm to 170mm in travel.
However, the forks are brand, model and year-specific. RockShox is currently only offering a small range for Canyon, Specialized, Trek and YT bikes. RockShox says it is working with OE manufacturers to provide support as new bikes are released.
This kit is similar to the AXS upgrade kit from SRAM, which owns RockShox. RockShox says the kit is compatible with SRAM’s AXS ecosystem and can be connected to AXS controllers. What’s in the RockShox Flight Attendant Upgrade Kit?
RockShox has created three upgrade kits dependent on riding discipline: trail, all-mountain, and enduro.The Trail kit is currently only compatible with the Canyon Neuron 29 (2021-2022).
