With the Tour de France done and the 2022 season now edging towards its final act, most of the mid-season bike and tech launches have taken place, with new machines from Trek , Colnago , Giant , Cervélo and Canyon .
Last year saw Specialized take the title for most successful brand at Grand Tours, though it was helped by sponsoring two teams, while Jumbo-Visma ’s Cervélos were not far behind, although given how July went that might have flipped.
The annual merry-go-round of bike sponsorship was quieter than usual over the winter with BikeExchange-Jayco ’s switch to Giant and Liv bikes after a fleeting year with Bianchi the only major move.
There are, however, several new women’s WorldTour teams for this year, so more opportunities for sponsors without a presence to get involved in a huge year for women’s cycling what with the first Tour de France Femmes .
