World Men’s Road Race: The biggest one-day race on the calendar, everyone wants to win a rainbow jersey! This Sunday sees the top men in the sport battle it out on the streets of Glasgow for that unique victory that you can show off for a year. The elite men’s race starts in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital City and makes its way to Glasgow for the finale. First it goes northwest to Stirling, where the time trial championships will be held next week, then via Falkirk and Denny to the Campsie Fells and the Fintry Hills for the first climb of the day: the Crow Road (5.8km at 4%) with the first three kilometres at almost 6%. At the summit of Crow Road, the race will have covered nearly 100 kilometres, with 23 kilometres to go the local circuit in the centre of Glasgow. The city centre lap is 14.3 kilometres, to be covered ten times. The circuit has 193 metres of climbing per lap.
