West Salem bike park WEST SALEM, Wis. (WKBT) — A grand opening was held for a new West Salem bike park on Thursday.
The park was designed for bikes, but the paving allows skateboards, rollerblades, and scooters to try out the tracks.
The parks pump tracks have multiple lines available for beginner and more advanced riders.
Rock Solid Trail Contracting, Dirt Monkey Excavating, Mathy Construction, and ORA Trails partnered in the construction of the park.
The project at Lewis Point Park has been in the works for two years.
"All the steps we’ve had to take it’s been a really long journey. But it’s been a wonderful team we’ve gotten to work with, and it’s just fantastic to be able to start sharing it with the world like we are today," said ORA Trials Executive Director Jed Olson.
Attendees of the grand opening enjoyed free food and drinks and had a chance to try out the pump track.COPYRIGHT 2024 BY NEWS 8 NOW/NEWS 8000. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. THIS MATERIAL MAY NOT BE PUBLISHED, BROADCAST, REWRITTEN OR REDISTRIBUTED.
