Bypassing your diesel pickup’s emissions control system to "roll coal" is not only illegal, it could also result in some pretty hefty repair bills Article content

The alleged driver of a Ford Super Duty diesel pickup truck is facing the wrath of the cycling community after apparently posting a video of himself “rolling coal” on a person on a bicycle riding on a public road.

Rolling coal is the act of intentionally spewing black exhaust fumes from a diesel engine, sometimes via specific modifications. It’s generally a highly obnoxious move even when there isn’t a set of lungs immediately in the exhaust path.

The video of the incident appears to be shot from the driver’s seat, and shows the truck driving up alongside a rider as a voice exclaims “Oh, my God, a cyclist.” The truck then accelerates as it passes, leaving the stranger pedaling through a cloud of grey pollutants. Article content

But the joke didn’t stop when its alleged shooter posted it to one Facebook group, McKinney Uncensored, because somebody recognized his voice and apparently outed him as Kevin Soucie, the owner of a Van Alstyne, Texas custom fabrication shop, Turn 5 Fabrication, on a different cyclist-enthusiast group page.

Then the negative business reviews started coming in. “Owner posts videos of himself endangering cyclist on the road,” one Google review reads. “Not someone I’d recommend working with.”
