After a few years away from the downhill scene, I recently jumped back on the Giant Glory—the bike that once defined my racing career. As I rode the new version of this legendary rig, I was flooded with memories and emotions, reminding me why I fell in love with downhill biking in the first place.

The moment I settled into the saddle, nostalgia hit me. It felt like reuniting with an old friend, yet there was an exciting freshness about this new version of the Glory, a bike that has given me more than I could have imagined.

This project reminded me of my passion for downhill riding. The feeling that a downhill bike gives you is incomparable. Sure, five years may seem like a long time, but damn! These bikes are sweet. Riding the Glory again reminded me of the freedom and excitement that comes with downhill biking. The butterflies when letting the brakes go, the satisfaction of hitting new jumps, all of these sensations flooded back memories of my competitive days.

Returning to the downhill world after a break has been refreshing and in a way impressive, the new Giant Glory embodies the spirit of innovation while honoring its roots. It’s a bike that invites riders to explore their limits and embrace the adventure that awaits on the trails and that allows us to simply let go and train harder if we want to be able to control it and hold onto it all the way down.
