Tout Terrain is working on a new bike with a Pinion Gearbox, only this one also has a motor. Named after the Great Divide MTB Route, the Divide e-MTB is a European-made aluminum frame that houses the Pinion Motor.Gearbox.Unit (MGU) . Specifically, the frame features the Pinion E1.12 MGU with a Gates Carbon Belt Drive. That gives the bike 12 speeds housed in the gearbox which are shifted with the Pinion Smart.Shift electronic shifting system for a 600% range. The motor will provide assist up to 25 km/h. Given that the bike is currently available for pre-order with bikes not expected to ship until Q2 of 2025, details on the frame and battery are still light. We know that the aluminum frame is designed around a 120mm RockShox Pike suspension fork, and it will ride on 29″ wheels and tires (tire clearance and tire size TBA). Currently, there is only one pre-configured model to pre-order, the Divide Select 5.1 for €7,799. It will be offered in three sizes with short reach numbers compared to most current mountain bikes (the large tops out at 456mm). With stack numbers starting at 648mm for the Small, this will be a fairly upright and comfortable ride for longer days and comfortable exploring. Divide features Category: E-X.Over
