Bike Friday has unveiled a wacky folding gravel bike designed for bikepacking , called the All-Packa.

Said to fit riders from 4ft 6in upwards, the All-Packa features 20in wheels and is claimed to “fold into a standard suitcase for travel”. A folding gravel bike could be an interesting proposition for frequent travellers who want to avoid oversize baggage fees.

The bike retails for $2,495, or $1,420 as a ‘frame kit’. A frame-only option was not available at the time of writing.

The All-Packa features what the brand calls an ‘Altbar’ handlebar to allow for multiple hand positions. It has extensions from the tops and sweeps back at the ends. This is said to be Bike Friday’s own design and it splits in half for folding ease.

The frame offers clearance for up to 2.4in tyres and is chock-full of mounts for bikepacking bags .
