Grrrr… Cyclists have to be on the lookout for all manner of threats on the road – including stray farm animals! ‘Bane of the roads, should pay road tax, think I own the highway, always in the middle of the lane’ – that’s me (apparently) – the annoying cyclist who’s always in your way.
No doubt, at least some of the drivers reading this will think at least some of the above, and disagree with much of what follows.
But, unless the Government suddenly bans self (or electric) powered two-wheeled travel, or builds an entire road network just for cyclists, we’re all going to have to just rub along together as best we can.

It probably won’t stop us moaning though – and some grumblings of mine follow shortly, after a couple of caveats.
Caveat 1: There are, no doubt, some bad cyclists out there, who ride on pavements, through red traffic lights, in the middle of the road just to be annoying, or who could just be a tad more courteous than they sometimes are – even if they may have been provoked! On their behalf, I apologise and ask them to do better.
