UCI CX World Cup: Benidorm, Spain (January 19) – US Junior women took advantage of a dry, fast course in Benidorm, Spain over the weekend, earning two top-10 finishes and the best showing by Americans for the day. Lidia Cusack (CXD Trek Bikes) placed 4 th and Alyssa Sarkisov (CXD Trek Bikes) was 9 th in the junior women’s race. This was Cusack’s fourth top-10 finish in five UCI World Cup races this season, including a victory in Dublin on December 1. Cusack is the reigning junior women’s CX national champion and currently stands fourth in the UCI World Cup Overall rankings with two more races left in the series.Sarkisov, who placed 2 nd behind Cusack in the CX National Championships, has two top-10 finishes in the past three World Cup junior races.
