Suplests’ new shoes for 2023 launched recently, but the new Edge+ 2.0 Pro Fabian Cancellara Limited Edition launches today with a few upgrades, plus news that Blacksmith Cycle is bringing the line into North America, making it available consumer direct with limited dealers also picking up the line. The Fabian Cancellara Limited Edition is limited to 250 pairs and upgrades to an anodized aluminum BOA Fit System, a bit fancier than the standard BOA dials on the rest of the line. It’s launch coincides with the Strade Bianche in Tuscany, a 176km ride over unpaved crushed white gravel roads race Fabian has won three times.
Otherwise identical to the Edge+ 2.0 Pro, it’s their top model with dual BOA dials, a thin microfiber upper with breathable 3D mesh forefoot and stiff carbon sole. MSRP is $429, claimed weight is 272g with Solestar insole. Below that is the 30/8 Road Pro, which gets a single BOA dial with a lightweight, breathable woven upper designed for hotter summer days. It’s supported with a thin, Kevlar-enhanced microfiber grid underneath. Fabric guides along the upper reduce pressure points from the BOA wire by sending forces across the foot rather than digging into it. MSRP is $419, claimed weight is 239g (size 42) with included Solestar Lite insole.
