The 2006 Commonwealth Games provided Mark Cavendish with one of the first successes of his glittering career when the Manx Missile claimed gold on the track in Melbourne.

Fast forward 16 years and Cavendish is targeting road-race gold at Birmingham 2022. Bookmakers have chalked up the 37-year-old up as 9-5 favourite.

Wright had an exceptional Tour de France, claiming four top-ten finishes including second place on stage 13.
