I don’t give a rat’s ass about Gravel…

Not that gravel isn’t fun (and, well, selling a crapload of bike gear), but I’m also the kind of guy that’s turned down a dozen invites to Belgium because F>>k no, I’m not going on cobbles (in the typically cold, wet, or uber-dusty dry).

What led me to this build wasn’t the thousands of miles of beautiful car-less roads that I’ll admit make Gravel Riding WONDERFUL. This was about putting together a bike that would get me back on pedals as fast as possible after spine surgery that required a few months for very brittle bone to form. That meant full-suspension, and it just so happened that one of Niner’s MCR-RDO frames was available from JOM at Gravel Cyclist . And there was no chance that this rig, with its upgraded fork and hoops was going to run anything but a top-line Gravel group… Thus, Shimano’s GRX Di2 . By the way… Niner’s MCR-RDO is designed for Mechanical, so be handy or have a friend like boutique shop THE VELO HOUSE in Bay Village Ohio to help with the build. So here’s where I get right to the point that this isn’t an all encompassing review where I toss out all the gear ranges… (yes, GRX Di2 has many gears).
