Pedal It Forward NWA in partnership with the City of Rogers hosted a city-wide bike drive on Saturday, March 1.
"We fix them up and we give them out… some directly to individuals, but a lot through community programs," said Scott Ehardt, a volunteer.
People donated their unused bikes to those in need. Some also brought their own bikes to be repaired. The event helps to provide affordable transportation, reduce waste, and promote sustainability, said organizers.
"They identify the need for the bicycles… people who need them for transportation for recreation for things like that," said Ehardt.
Pedal It Forward NWA has donation sites in Rogers, Bentonville and Springdale.
