Ever since it first launched , the Revel Rascal has been one of my favorite bikes . Now, it’s gotten even better thanks to a new carbon layup. It wasn’t that long ago that the Rascal already dropped some weight with the updated V2. The new Rascal SL is essentially the same bike, just with a more advanced carbon layup. Revel Rascal SL Revel Rascal SL head tube Revel Rascal SL back end How much lighter? Revel claims the frame is now nearly half a pound, or 200g lighter. It still features the same 130mm travel CBF-driven rear wheel travel and is designed around a 140mm travel fork. Revel Rascal SL details Revel Rascal SL geometry The geometry appears to be identical to the existing Revel Rascal, with a 65.5º head tube angle, 76/76.5º effective seat tube angle, and moderate reach numbers. The frame is offered in five sizes from Small to XX-Large. Revel Rascal SL frame specs Revel Rascal SL weights Frame details include a 73mm threaded BB, SRAM UDH dropout, Boost 148mm spacing, and 29 x 2.6″ rear tire clearance. Claimed weights are listed as 7.39lbs/3.35kg for a large SL frame, with complete bikes as light as 29.8lbs/13.5kg. Secret Builds
