Restrap fills a gap inbetween bikepackin and everyday carry with a revamped mid-sized 4.5L Saddle Pack and all-new smaller 2.5l version. While bikepacking bags often focus on carrying the most possible gear without racks, the Restrap Saddle Pack is a smaller bag for when you need to carry just some extra clothes, a spare jacket, or a lot of ride snacks. (Photos/Restrap) Most of my experience with Restrap is for their dedicated bikepacking bag setups, whether you are looking for their heavy-duty, big-volume Classic Bikepacking bags or their lightweight Adventure Race range. But one of my favorite recent bags from them is the tiny Tool Pouch . Fitting in between is their Saddle Pack, which had just been offered in 4.5L. That’s a good size for lightweight ‘fastpacking’. But it’s probably too big for even your longest one-day rides, yet maybe not quite big enough for most overnighters either.
So Restrap went back to the drawing board to crate a smaller happy medium. And in the meantime, they completely revamped the original, too. What’s new?
