To be able to cycle to work, cyclists need facilities like changing rooms and cycle stands in their offices
With the IT companies switching back to Return to Office (RTO) mode, techies in the city want to cycle to work. Some of them are convincing companies to give the employees cycling to work some extra facilities.
“I can cycle to the office but the only problem is I will be sweating so much that it will be a difficult task for me to sit in the office and work. So, I requested my office to provide me with a bathroom facility so that we can take a bath and then work. Thankfully, my company agreed and now, it is a refreshing experience to work after a bath,” said Sandeep R, a techie.
Naga Prakash, who works as a Project Manager in a tech company told Bangalore Mirror, “About 80 % of my commutes are on a bicycle which is around 12-14 km daily. Recently I moved to a new organization and we are in the initial stages of work from the office. But I had to travel 50 km daily (both ways). The first day when I went to the office in my cycling attire, the security didn’t allow me inside because of the office policies.
