Anders Johnson achieves Team USA’s best result in the Elite Men’s Individual Pursuit, finishing in eighth place.
On the third day of the 2024 UCI Track World Championships , five Americans took to the track at the Ballerup Super Arena, competing in multiple events. Anders Johnson (Huntsville, Utah; Chaney Windows and Doors) and Brendan Rhim (Norwich, Vt.; Project Echelon Racing) raced in the Elite Men’s Individual Pursuit, while Peter Moore (Saint Paul, Minn.) competed in the Elite Men’s Points Race. David Domonoske (Palo Alto, Calif.) contested the Elite Men’s Time Trial, and Jennifer Valente (San Diego; Virginia’s Blue Ridge TWENTY24) returned to the track to compete in the Elite Women’s Omnium.
Elite Men’s Individual Pursuit
Twenty-one athletes competed in the four-kilometer Elite Men’s Individual Pursuit, including Johnson and Rhim . Johnson delivered a solid qualifying performance with a time of 4:08.623, placing him eighth overall. Rhim followed with his strongest ride, finishing in 4:13.169 to secure 12th place.
