Reason for Cycling: I started cycling because I gave a Peloton in our community gym a try, and I was hooked right away. It was only a short few months before I had a bike of my own and really got into it.

I have constantly struggled with my weight throughout my life. I have gone through phases where I would lose a little weight, but always ended up gaining it back (and more). My health suffered because of my weight, and I was not able to easily do all the things I wanted to do.

A major motivation for losing weight was to avoid worse health problems in the future. I wanted to get healthy so I could be around for my family. I decided that I wanted to finally get my weight under control, and I set a goal to lose 50 pounds in six months.
In August 2018, I took my first class on a Peloton . It was very difficult, but so fun to have the instructor telling me what to do instead of trying to do it myself.
