FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville has partnered with Pedit it Forward to provide a new bike donation drop-off location.

Pedal it Forward collects used bikes, repairs them, and donates them to those in need. Fayetteville has offered its recycling and trash collection office as a drop-off location to help with this cause.

Those who wish to donate bikes, bike parts, or accessories can drop them off at 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Environmental Educator Faebyan Whittle said this will help more locals stay active while also helping the environment.

“Not only will this get more people on bicycles, which supports a more equitable and environmentally friendly transportation system, but it also will help the City reach its goal of diverting 40% of waste from the landfill," said Whittle.
