Canyon’s new 29in-wheeled Lux Trail cross-country mountain bike is designed for high-paced riding, whether that’s heading up or down mountains. It’s a true downcountry bike in all but name.
The Lux Trail’s geometry has been tweaked, with the new bike sporting a 67-degree head tube angle and 76-degree seat tube angle across the five-size range (XS to XL).
Using a full carbon fibre construction – either the pricier CFR or more affordable CF – Canyon claims the Lux Trail CFR’s frame weighs only 1,996g (medium), which makes it “one of the lightest in its category”.
With a 120mm fork and 115mm of rear-wheel travel , the new Lux Trail gets a ‘hanging rocker’ designed to improve small-bump sensitivity and make it feel as if it has more travel.
Clever, integrated storage features across the bike include space in the down tube, tyre plugs in the bar ends and a multi-tool fitted to the underside of the top tube.
There are five models in the new Lux Trail range, starting with the Lux Trail CF 6 (£3,199 / €3,299) and topping out at the Lux Trail CFR LTD (£8,099 / €8,499). 2024 Canyon Lux Trail frame and suspension
