The mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees has published an online response to a petition to make cycling safer in the city.
Bristol Cycling launched an e-petition on October 3, calling on Bristol City Council officials to take a serious look into crafting a plan to improve cycling networks in Bristol, so more people feel comfortable travelling on their bikes.
The petition gained over 3,800 signatures and was debated at a full council meeting on November 8.

The voluntary organisation was recently told that a blog published on the mayor’s website , acts as an official response to its petition. We’ve been informed that this blog is the formal response to our petition which gained 3,500 signatures and was debated at full council.
