Staff offer recreational programs to highlight adaptive sports. In the summer, their activity lineup includes adaptive kayaking and cycling clinics.
August 15th is the last kayaking clinic for the summer. It’s happening at Interlochen State Park from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
People of all abilities are invited to come experience paddling for free with adaptive equipment.

"Northern Michigan is full of water," said Jessica Stark, a recreational therapist. "I think it’s only fair that everybody gets a chance to enjoy it, not just people who can walk down and get into a kayak themselves. So we can help people of any abilities get into a kayak and out of a kayak safely and give them a chance to experience what everybody else gets to in the summertime."
