OKLAHOMA CITY —

A major improvement to the cycling trail between Lake Overholser and Lake Hefner was launched.

The city opened a highly requested bridge over Northwest Expressway. For decades, if Oklahomans wanted to walk or cycle the trail, they had to sit at the light and cross six lanes of traffic.

Now, there is a brand new $5 million bridge helping Oklahomans to safely cross.

"We’re thrilled to be here this morning for this key tie for our world-class trail system," said Mayor David Holt, Oklahoma City.
