Jan. 29—LIMA — Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith said the city’s bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community award goes together with efforts to make cyclists and pedestrians safer.

"When you look at cities that are vibrant and cities that are growing, those cities have been intentional about making investments and infrastructure to make themselves more pedestrian and bike-friendly," Smith said. "We’re excited that the work of the city, as well as our partners, is being recognized."
