Ride Aloha finishers HONOLULU (Island News) — The Hawaii Bicycling League will host the Ride Aloha Festival on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 offering two rides.

The events include the Honolulu Century Ride ranging in 25, 50, 75 and 100-mile routes. The Aloha Fun Ride is a family-friendly option with five or eight-mile routes. Registration is still open for the ride.

The full 100-mile ride starts at Kapiolani Park and follows the South Shore to Hawaii Kai, over historic Makapuu Lookout into Kailua. Then the route goes through Kaneohe and along the Windward coast with a turnaround at Swanzy Beach Park in Ka‘a‘awa. Riders not participating in the entire 100 miles can choose a shorter distance.

Aid stations, mechanical help, HPD presence for safety, and roaming course marshals will be available to riders. All funds raised go towards Hawaii Bicycling League’s education and advocacy work. This cause allows more people to ride bicycles by making Hawaii roads safer for everyone who drives, rides or walks.

HCR Start at Kapi‘olani Park

The Honolulu Century Ride will start at 6:21 a.m. (sunrise) and the Aloha Fun Ride will start at 8:30am on the 29th. The finish line for all riders in this Ride Aloha Festival is under the arch at Kapiolani Park.

The festival includes free live music, such as the Royal Hawaiian Band, ono food booths and booths from partners. Booths and live music are open to all from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A complete list can be found at https://hbl.org/ridealohafestival/ .Sponsors for […]
