Gert Nagel is one of the three cyclists that will be cycling from eMalahleni to Mossel Bay for Rizpah.
He was asked a few questions about this exciting adventure that awaits him in less than a month’s time.
They will start the race on May 22 and they hope to arrive in Mossel Bay on May 28.
He started cycling in 2015 and from there he started catching momentum over the years and has not stopped.
Gert decided to cycle to Mossel Bay as it has been something to do on his bucket list for quite some time. In November last year he decided he’ll do it in 2021.
Then Wihl Vermaak said he wanted to join and that is when they decided to do it. “Whilst we are doing such a big adventure, we should do it for a noble cause,” said Gert. Dan Cronje told us about Rizpah and they knew it’s the type of organization that they would like to support.
Gert has been putting in long hours on his bike to prepare for the cycle. Besides this he has been eating and drinking right. “On my long rides I eat more and drink more fluids to maintain energy levels,” said Gert.
