Owners Meg Doby and Ethan Przekaza call the county’s newest bike shop their dream come true. Plus it’s located right on the Betsie Valley Trail.
“Several years ago, the thought crossed our mind of owning our own business. The idea of a bike shop seemed to be the obvious choice to do it together,” said Doby.
Now, the husband-and-wife team is working together to sell and service bikes at their shop, located at 1100 Main St. in Frankfort, near where Main Street intersects M-22 heading south around Betsie Bay.
“It’s a perfect building for a bike shop. It’s open, accessible,” said Przekaza.
And you can hop on a bike and jump right onto the Betsie Valley Trail.
“It’s right behind the building,” said Doby.Doby boasts several years of retail management, while Przekaza – who grew up in Frankfort – has worked in various facets of the biking industry for basically his entire professional life.“I’ve been in every position in a bike shop, so I’ve seen it all,” he said.The store stocks a variety of bikes in all styles: cruisers, urban style street bikes, mountain bikes, even e-bikes.
