Exposure Lights has released a revamped and updated range of its REFLEX-enabled mountain bike handlebar lights. The REFLEX MTB range provides increased lumen outputs, ensuring that trails can still be nailed and gravel paths explored as the nights get longer.

The award-winning bar light range – consisting of the Six Pack, Maxx-D, Toro and Race – have all have been updated and upgraded to pump out even more REFLEX technology-controlled lumens to automatically emit the right lumens at the right time, without the need to push a button. This allows the rider to keep their hands on the grips for total control and more enjoyment.

The Six Pack Mk14 will now boast 5,800 lumens at its REFLEX-boosted maximum, with the equivalent figures being 4,800 for the Maxx-D Mk16, 3,800 for the Toro Mk15 and 2,800 for the Race Mk18.

REFLEX Technology

REFLEX Technology automatically adjusts the light, intuitively dimming for the slower sections, such as climbs, allowing it to provide boosted output when riding hard and fast. This is all to optimise battery life and provide complete convenience for the rider.

REFLEX achieves this by using data from thermistors and 3D digital accelerometers, including gyroscope, which continually analyses the data to make seamless adjustments to benefit the rider, probably better than the rider can, reckons Exposure: “It is a form of artificial intelligence.”

Perhaps most importantly, REFLEX will calibrate on each new ride, so that maximum and minimum outputs are relevant to that rider’s speed and terrain, regardless of ability. Account – Exposure […]
