Mayor Dr Nik-Johnson with Matthew Pencharz on e-bike E-bikes have made their return last week after being taken of the streets of Peterborough due to an unprecedented amount of vandalism in the city.

On Wednesday (March 9) Voi e-bikes relaunched in the city, which will be available to rent 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Due to the vandalism previously seen, Voi has said they worked closely with its e-bike supplier to upgrade security features and prevent vandalism.

Voi staff will also monitor the service closely to ensure everyone can continue to benefit from the modern mode of transport.

Matthew Pencharz, UK’s Head of Public Policy at Voi, said: “We’re delighted to be back on the streets of Peterborough as we know our riders have missed using the scheme.

“We’re asking riders to Voi again and enjoy e-bikes as an active, affordable and convenient way to get around town – not to mention the fact that it’s one of the best ways to reduce harmful emissions as well as being a great alternative to the car.
