De Marchi was founded in 1946, making the claim to be one of the oldest companies specializing exclusively in cycling apparel. I’m a nostalgic history nut…so, that statement caught my eye. De Marchi has been around for over 75 years, under the same ownership, that alone is pretty cool. They claim to have helped establish modern cycling aesthetics, introducing many innovations that have forever changed this sport.
De Marchi recently launched a new website in both English and Italian, which is the news here and the reason for the press release. But hold the phone, because De Marchi’s new website is only part of the story!

If you like cycling history, or partake in events like California’s Eroica , check out their Heritage Line of cycling apparel. It looks to be well done and is something to behold. It would be easy to mistake these jerseys as actual vintage cycling jerseys. Instead, the 1954 Swiss Champion jersey above is made using state-of-the-art construction and is crafted from super fine merino wool on “old-school, warp knitting machines.” Details include genuine mother of pearl buttons, extra-large polo collar, and the original De Marchi inner label.
The rest of the Heritage line varies slightly in construction, though all are built with an eye toward quality and vintage style.
