FOXBOROUGH, Mass. —
Despite the rainy weather, spirits remained high as hundreds of cyclists participated in the 34th annual Rodman Ride for Kids .
This year’s event, held on Saturday, aimed to raise $3 million to benefit 41 local charities.
"Even on a gloomy day, you can’t rain on our parade at the Ride for Kids," Amy Rossman, executive director of Rodman for Kids, said.
Cyclists embarked on either a 25- or 50-mile route, starting and ending in Foxborough.
The Rodman Ride for Kids raises awareness and funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters and other Massachusetts charities.
The organization pairs 650 children with mentors, but 100 children remain on a waitlist.
