The event was started in October first week of 2022

Cyclists from different parts of Delhi NCR celebrated their Completion of 21 Days Winter Cycling this Sunday (February 12, 2023) at Sanjay Van organised by The Daredevils, an organisation which promotes sports activities in the community. The event was started in October first week of 2022 as the ‘21 Days Winter Cycling Challenge to promote cycling and encourage community people to use Eco-friendly modes of transport. The format of the challenge was to use a cycle at least on weekends and complete a total of 21 days in Winters.

Founder of ‘The Daredevils’ Deepak Chowdhary says, “We just tried people to come out in weekends leaving laziness in winter and do cycling. So this was of total 21 days of cycling on 30 Weekend Days since October. It was launched pan India and a total of 600 cyclists participated. From Delhi NCR there were about 150 participants.” Deepak Chowdhary and Aradhana Das Mr Chowdhary says that the event was conceptualised to make people inspire to use cycles to work and to promote an eco-friendly mode of transport and reduce pollution. “We will be organising such events further as this will help in decreasing pollution and on the other hand it will promote health and fitness in the community,” he added.
