The 2023 Canfield Balance gets a few refinements to modernize it, plus two new colors, but keeps the 27.5″ wheels and 169mm rear travel paired with 170mm forks.

Compared the 2020 version , which got a full geometry and sizing overhaul, the big difference here is the addition of internal cable routing (like the Tilt and Lithium ) with interchangeable cable ports. Headtubes got a bit taller, too, based on rider feedback. Apparently folks thought the front end was a little low, so they made them 10-25mm taller, depending on frame size. Inside it, they’re now spec’ing a 44/56 inset headsets, which were already used across the rest of the line, so this helps streamline their inventory, too.

There’s also three new colors, and new complete bike builds, all centered around the TRP TR12 shifter and derailleur . Those are paired with e*thirteen Helix Race cassettes and Canfield’s own 165mm crankset…

…or you can swap in a SRAM Eagle cassette, derailleur and shifter if you want. And you can upgrade the chainring to an absoluteBLACK chainring.

Choose from Cane Creek, RockShox, MRP, DVO, EXT and other forks and shocks, e*thirteen and Atomik Carbon for wheels, and various Maxxis tires. Switch it to a mixed wheel build, too, if you want, by putting a 29er up front. Brakes are TRP or Magura, and dropper seat posts are from SDG with frame size-specific travel.
