Cadence Performance has announced the acquisition of Evernden Cycles in Kent, taking the firm’s retail portfolio to six branches.

With Evernden Cycles’ owner retiring, the third-generation family business passes the torch after more than 70 years trading.

George Stavrinidis, Director at Cadence Performance, commented, “we are privileged to be taking over this third-generation family-run business; the high standards of service will be kept as we honour the rich heritage of this store and the community it serves.”

“Cadence Performance brings cyclists together at all levels. The group are thrilled to be extending its reach, serving the existing loyal customer base in and around Kent. We’re eager to begin representing cycling in this area, supporting with all our additional services, including bike fitting, coaching, ride-outs, workshop and much more.”

Trading as Cadence initially, the store will transition to a Giant Brand Store by the end of 2022. Evernden Cycles, formerly a long-term dedicated Giant Partner, built a loyal customer base through their commitment to the sport.
