Although the Gran Salida of the 2026 Vuelta a Espana is already known to be held in Monaco, surprisingly the 2025 edition remained a mystery… until now.
According to Italian media La Repubblica , and confirming the persistent rumours, the start of La Vuelta will take place next year in the Piemonte region. The 80th edition of the race will start in Venaria Reale, a municipality located in the city of Turin, and will complete 4 stages on the Italian soil before its final march to Spain.
This will be the 6th occasion in which the Vuelta a España will start outside the country. The previous 5 were in Lisbon 1997, Assen 2009, Nimes 2017, Utrecht 2022, and the last one took place once again in Lisbon this year. Also read
