Courtesy: Fox26/KMPH FRESNO, CALIF [Fox26] — The annual ride includes everything you would expect from a prom while bicycling, including snazzy outfits, courses, lights, and, of course, a king and queen.
This annual event brings bicyclists together in a Fresno community that hopes to reduce bicycling fatalities to zero in the coming years.
The organization works closely with the city of Fresno to advocate for bicyclists’ safety through an active transportation advisory committee.
They will also have a World Day of Remembrance for traffic victims who have died in Fresno — on November 17th.
The bike prom ride is designed to give peace of mind to all bike riders in the city knowing that safety is the goal and an ongoing need for more bike lanes to help prevent riding accidents.
